ruby-bson-ext software package provides C extensions to accelerate the Ruby BSON serialization, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ruby-bson-ext
ruby-bson-ext is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ruby-bson-ext package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ruby-bson-ext *
You will get with ruby-bson-ext package name, version, architecture and description in a table
